Mission Statement

Mission Statement

The mission of the St Rose of Lima Finance Commission is to advise and assist the pastor on matters pertaining to the financial management of the parish.

In accordance with Canon Law 537 "...each parish is to have a Finance Council that is regulated by universal law as well as by norms issued by the diocesan bishop; in this council the Christian faithful, selected according to the same norms, aid the pastor in the administration of parish goods with due regard for the prescriptions of church law."

The parish Finance Commission is a seven member board appointed by the pastor. If you would be interested in participating on this commission, please contact Father Steve Parlet at 395-8424.


Duties:

Ensure that the parish is a trusted steward of the temporal goods provided by parishioners.

Assist in the preparation of the annual budget

Assist in evaluating and formulating the parish's short and long-term financial needs.

Assist in monitoring financial reports (revenues and expenses) and the annual budget on an ongoing (at least quarterly) basis.

Assist in the implementation of acceptable internal control practices including reviewing and implementing diocesan policies.
